Roles & Responsibilities

Compliance

•Develop,implement and manage financial planning systems for the holding company and for each of its subsidiaries and divisions
•Create and document core financial processes and controls
•Develop financial reporting package for operating units and overall organization including appropriate internal and external benchmarks
•Understand and monitor regulatory reporting environment
•Understand and monitor debt compliance
•Work with auditors, lenders and regulators on all financial questions
•Manage tax compliance activities with outside tax advisor including create and coordination of internal forms compliance

Leadership of Core Financial
systems & processes

•Develop and lead internal budgeting and financial forecasting processes including tools for monitoring liquidity and cash management components
•Partner with IT to develop, implement and manage financial ERP systems for the holding company and for each of its subsidiaries and divisions
•Develop tools and analyses for financial planning and business unit reviews with all   P&L owners
•Develop a process for and manage all fixed assets and acquisitions (facilities, etc.)
•Co-create with CFO long term strategic planning tool to evaluate financial steps within such planning

General Management & Leadership

•Invest in current personnel to educate and develop the next Controller; Systematically develop people through individual development plans
•Attract,retain, and motivate high-caliber talent •Collaborate with business unit leaders, product managers, and other staff
•Manage key integration and communication points within matrix structure
•Maximize collaboration between business units and central services
•Maintain a smooth flow of information relating to financial matters
•Serve as a role model for leadership throughout the organization
•Provide guidance to business units to enable them to effectively manage  their P&Ls
•Develop and monitor appropriate metrics
•Support a culture and orientation of optimizing risk vs. return within a matrix structure
•Conduct day-to-day finance operations under the policy direction of CFO
•Assist CFO with finance organization planning, design & development

Drive Results

•Educate and enroll business unit leaders on financial measurements and forecasting
•Analyze financial, operational and market indicators while implementing options/solutions to areas that need improving
•Assist business unit leaders in defining and maintaining the financial strategy that aligns with the overall holding company strategy
•Interface with regulatory liaisons for all outside agencies
•Partner with Charter Board accountant  to deliver accurate and timely financial results and analyses to Charter BODs and Authorizers

Candidate Profile

• 10 years relevant industry and management experience, specifically in a Controller role and senior accounting/finance positions
• Experience in setup of new company policies and procedures post acquisition/transaction is preferred
• Process and detail oriented, ability to roll up sleeves as team and process is being built
• Strong financial and regulatory expertise with the industry
• Capacity to lead and develop a team of up to 10 direct and indirect reports
• Well developed leadership, communication, organization, and analytical skills
• Experience managing in a matrix organizational structure
• Successful demonstration of influential leadership in cross functional teams
• Leadership versatility and an ability to relate with and understand varying mindsets within a diverse organization
• Life long learner who is disciplined
• Ability to take on a wide range of projects
• Complex thinking capacity and skills (systems thinking a must)
• Appreciation for our culture and ability to gain respect of both legacy and new unit managers
• Advanced,current working knowledge of enterprise financial ERP i.e. Great Plains / MS Dynamics a plus
• Willing to travel regionally
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance –prefer CPA

Salary Range

$120,000 - $175,000
